Liquid screed vs traditional screed
Both create a level base for your final floor. The right choice depends on your project.
Liquid screed flows into place, so it self-levels and is quick to lay over large areas. It fully surrounds underfloor heating pipes, which helps heat spread evenly through the floor. It can usually be laid thinner than a traditional screed. That makes it a popular choice for extensions and new builds in Sheffield.
Traditional sand-cement screed is mixed and laid by hand. It suits jobs where a flowing screed isn’t practical, such as smaller areas, falls (slopes) or particular site conditions.
